Explore Policies

Who may enroll Education and Enrichment courses are open to all adult members of Northern Strafford County and neighboring towns. Classes are intended for adults, 18 or older, unless otherwise specified in the course description. When permitted, youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also registered for the course.
Register Early Please register early, as space is limited. Students are urged to register no later than one week prior to the start of a class. This allows instructors adequate time to prepare materials.
Fees & Payment Payments may be made by cash, check or money order. All costs are noted at registration. A list of any additional materials needed (if any) will be available at registration or listed in the course description.
Returned Checks A $28 fee will be charged for all checks returned due to insufficient funds. The party would also be expected to also pay the original amount due.
Refunds Refunds will be issued only if a course is cancelled. Students will be notified by The Explore Collaborative if this is the case. Refunds will not be issued for students who register for a class, but then do not attend. If you need to cancel your registration, a refund will be issued providing there is sufficient enrollment in the class and you notify us more than one week prior to the class start date.
Cancelled Classes It may become necessary to cancel classes due to inadequate enrollment. You can help avoid this disappointmentby registering early and inviting friends and family to also attend the class. If a class is cancelled, registered students will be notified and a full refund issued.
Storm Day Policy We follow the Public School System cancellation schedule. If school is cancelled for day students, you may assume that evening classes will also be cancelled. In the case of a late day storm, announcements will be made on the following stations: WOKQ, WTSN and Channel 9.
Non-discrimination Policy The Adult Education/Explore program does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, educational ability or ethnic origin in its educational programs or activities.
Non-solicitation Policy Explore classes are intended to be educational in nature. They are not intended to be venues for selling or promoting particular products or philosophies. Students who are interested in additional services may contact the instructor after class for product or service information.
Class Content Disclaimer The Explore Collaborative seeks to provide area residents with access to a broad array of educational opportunities. The Collaborative does not endorse and is not responsible for particular course content. Course content or materials should not be considered a substitute for medical, financial or other professional advice or treatment.
