Linux! Beginning Desktop Linux - FREE! 2 Saturdays, March 15 & 22 New Durham Library: 1:00 pm Have you had it with Microsoft Windows? This two-session workshop looks at using an alternative – desktop Linux. We’ll look at various applications on Ubuntu, put Linux on a machine, and set up a dual-boot so that our machines can run two operating systems. Sound unfamiliar to you? Don’t despair – the class requires only basic familiarity with computers, and a tinkerer’s desire to “play around” with a machine. In just three sessions, learn how to navigate a spreadsheet, create simple formulas, and insert charts.
