About Explore for Grown-ups!
Explore for Grown-ups is a multi-town adult education project. It began in 2004 when a grassroots group,
the Explore Collaborative, met to brainstorm the best way to bring adult education and supports for families
to the Farmington area. The “Our Communities are Your Campus” motto reflects our belief that learning
can happen anywhere in the community and that it takes many partners who are committed to working together to
successfully meet our goals.
The Explore Collaborative recognizes that it can be a daunting challenge for smaller communities to provide
community education and enrichment programs for adults in their communities on a town by town basis – we can’t
all offer everything! We believe that by cooperatively working together we can more effectively use available
resources, search for new resources and most importantly expand educational opportunities for our neighbors,
families and friends.
Explore for Grown-ups is managed by the Farmington Community Preservation Guild in cooperation with Goodwin
Library, Farmington School Department, Farmington Recreation Department, Nute/Milton Library, Town of Farmington,
CHANCES, Adult Learning Center of Strafford County, New Durham School & New Durham Library. Our goal is to expand
adult education and enrichment opportunities for residents of the Farmington, New Durham, Middleton and Milton area.
Any interested community member or organization is welcome to join The Explore Collaborative.
For more information call Cyndi Paulin At the Farmington Community Preservation Guild, 755-2456.

No need to look far. There’s something here for everyone!
